Nebulous Nighttime Notions Not Necessarily Needed
Sunday night I had an extremely long and drawn out nightmare of epic proportions. There has not been a dream that disturbed me on this level in many years. My subconscious mind seemed to have been mulling over certain moral and spiritual issues for a while and decided to make a feature film. fun stuff.
The uneasiness still remained to the point that last night I could sense my mind not wishing to chance a repeat. Instead, as I lay there in the dark, it started building an entirely new piece of software from scratch in my head. A CMS, oddly. Different database structure than I had ever tried previously and some rather ingenious ideas that had never occurred to me before. Completely incompatible with the way ExpressionEngine works now, but put into a new system quite revolutionary. Doubtful I will ever build it, but I jotted down a few notes as the ideas were really fascinating. I geek out just a bit when it comes to building code.
